Vic: RACV wants petrol tax cut
MELBOURNE, Feb 7 AAP - Victoria's peak motoring body called on the federal governmentto cut fuel tax after petrol rose above one dollar a litre at Melbourne bowsers this morning.
Unleaded petrol was selling for up to $1.05 a litre, Royal Automobile Club of Victoriagovernment and corporate relations David Cumming said today.
"The prices are understandable ... there has been an $8 a barrel increase in crudeand the premium won't come off until conflict in Iraq calms down," Mr Cumming said.
